AI as a weapon: The number of cyber attacks in Croatia is increasing, how to protect yourself?

Last year, the police in Croatia discovered and criminally reported a total of 1,688 cyberattacks, which is an increase of 9.61 percent compared to 2022.
Vedran Vujasinović, director of the Information Security Directorate at the IT company Setcor, points out that the most common forms of cybercrime include phishing, often through e-mails or messages that appear to come from reliable sources, and their goal is to induce users to reveal their sensitive information, and scam – an attempt to induce the victim to act in favor of the fraudster, also most often via e-mail.
